Greetings on the occasion of the International Cooperative Day
Dear cooperators!
Dear colleagues and friends!
The Presidency of the Ukrkoopspilka and the Central Committee of the Trade Union of Consumer Cooperation Workers of Ukraine sincerely congratulate you on International Cooperative Day, which we are celebrating today as part of the UN International Year of Cooperatives!
Our professional holiday is special for the entire global community. After all, the cooperative movement is, first and foremost, a huge contribution to strengthening the economies of countries. Its principles have always worked for the development of communities, social development, and justice, contributing to the establishment of social rights, democracy, and mutual assistance. The proclamation of 2025 as the UN International Year of Cooperatives is evidence that the world, in its sustainable and equitable development, needs the principles and rules on which cooperative development has always been based.
Ukrainian consumer cooperation has a long history of serving people, based on creating jobs, production, developing trade, education, food industries, and supporting people in the most difficult moments of its history – crises, pandemics, and war.
And today, at a difficult and fateful time for our country, cooperation is once again proving its strength – both economic and moral – and its ability to stand guard over the interests of the people.
Thanks to your dedicated work and commitment to the common cause, dear colleagues, the system continues to function, helping both the front and the rear, restoring damaged facilities, and maintaining the economic and social stability of the country.
The International Year of Cooperatives has given us an opportunity to loudly proclaim the Ukrainian cooperative movement in the international arena and to feel its understanding and support.
We are grateful to every cooperator for their contribution to the development not only of our industry but of the country’s economy as a whole: for your work, patience, initiative, unity, and belief in victory.
We wish you good health, endurance, professional success, well-being in your families, and inexhaustible energy for new achievements in a peaceful Ukraine!
May the cooperative idea, based on equality, solidarity, and justice, continue to be a source of inspiration and development for our state and the well-being of its citizens.
Happy International Cooperative Day and Year of Cooperatives!
Best regards,
