The winners of the national selection for participation in the largest European financial literacy competition European Money Quiz were announced! Students of the Ternopil Cooperative Vocational College are the winners!

This year, the Ukrainian team will be able to compete for the title of European champions for the second time.

In total, more than four thousand children from all over Ukraine joined the competition.

This year, the competition in Ukraine was held in three stages: school, regional and national selections.

First, at the school selection, teachers independently selected one team from each educational institution among the registered participants according to the instructions provided.

The European Money Quiz 2024 school selection included:

400 educational institutions from all over Ukraine;

522 teachers;

4,248 students (2,124 teams). Each team consists of two students aged 13 to 15.

At the regional selection, 363 teams competed – the winners of the school selection from 24 regions of Ukraine.

In the national selection, which takes place as part of Global Money Week, 24 teams from all regions of Ukraine competed for the right to represent Ukraine in the European final in Brussels.

The teams had to provide correct answers to 15 questions on personal budgeting, loans, deposits, insurance, investments, taxes, payment fraud and consumer protection in the shortest possible time.

The first place was won by a team from the Ternopil Cooperative Vocational College of Ternopil Region consisting of 1st year students Volodymyr Vasylenko and Andrii Tsabal under the guidance of their teacher Mariia Protsyk.

They will represent Ukraine at the competition in Brussels on April 18-19, 2024.

The second place was taken by the team from Vinnytsia Lyceum No. 7 named after Oleksandr Sukhomovskyi, Vinnytsia region, consisting of the 8th grade students Sofia Sosnytska and Daria Rybachuk under the guidance of teacher Iryna Parfeniuk.

The third place was taken by the team from Shpola Lyceum No. 3 of the Shpola City Council of the united territorial community of Zvenyhorod district, Cherkasy region, consisting of the 9th grade students Andrii Datsenko and Yana Rosliakova under the guidance of teacher Anna Skripai.
