Meeting of the Board of Rectors and Directors of Higher Educational Establishments of Consumer Cooperatives of Ukraine
On October 23-25, a meeting of the Board of Rectors and Directors of Higher Educational Establishments of Consumer Cooperatives of Ukraine took place at the Poltava Cooperative College.
The following matters were considered at the meeting:
— the results of the admission to Higher Educational Establishments of Consumer Cooperatives in 2019 and the tasks as for the vocational guidance;
— the experience of the vocational guidance obtained by the Lviv, Chernivtsi and Rivne Colleges and Khmelnytsky Institute of Economics and Trade;
— implementation of the Law of Ukraine «On pre higher education»;
— consideration of the draft plan of the events to improve the Youth policy of All-Ukrainian Central Union of Consumer Societies ;
— recognition of the ECTS credits and re-transfer of marks of the college graduates enrolled in 2nd or 3rd year courses of undergraduate university education programs;
— development of educational programs in entrepreneurship, trade and commodity exchange activities, and creation of an environment for their implementation;
— rating of the research and teaching staff as a basis for internal monitoring of the quality of education and compliance with the requirements of the License Terms;
— the experience of the projects activities the student government of the University.
According to the Ukrcoopspilka First Deputy Chairman of the Board V.P. Levitsky, as a whole, cooperative educational institutions had a successful admission campaign in 2019. Thus, 12398 applications for 10627 licensed places were submitted for full-time studies at higher education institutions of consumer cooperatives of Ukraine. Overall, in 2019, cooperative institutions of higher education enrolled 6456 persons to study for the junior bachelor’s, undergraduate, postgraduate and qualified worker’s degrees. Poltava, Lviv, Chernivtsi, Rivne, Khmelnitsky, Kherson, Chernihiv, Novomoskovsk and Kharkiv colleges are leading in the number of admitted students and pupils.
L.Voinash, the director of the Department of human resources policy, education and research, informed about the implementation of the Law of Ukraine «On pre higher education». She stressed on such topics as attestation, advanced training and certification of pedagogical and research staff, admission for studies in institutions of professional pre higher education.
Professor P. Kutsyk, Rector of Lviv University of Trade and Economics, delivered a report “Recognition of the ECTS credits and re-transfer of marks of the college graduates enrolled in 2nd or 3rd year courses of undergraduate university education programs”
First Vice-Rector of Lviv University of Trade and Economics, Professor M. Barna delivered a report “Rating of the research and teaching staff as a basis for internal monitoring of the quality of education and compliance with the requirements of the License Terms”.
Professor N. Pedchenko, Vice-Rector of the Higher Educational Establishment of Ukoopspilka Poltava University of Economics and Trade and the Chairman of the Student Council of this educational institution M.Negoda delivered information on the development of educational programs and student self-government.
At the end of the meeting, the participants discussed the issues arising in the organization of the educational process and activities of cooperative higher education establishments.
